She has a degree in zoology, a vital field of study for her choice of artistic interpretations. She also enjoys avian taxidermy, and learns a great deal about anatomy from her subjects.
She paints both birds and mammals, concentrating on depicting each animal in it’s native habitat, usually in low afternoon light, and often in motion. Her specialty is rare and seldom-depicted big game species from Asia and Africa.
Cynthie displays her art at several prestigious national art shows, including the Safari Club International,the Wild Sheep Foundation, and the Dallas Safari Club. She donates regularly to many conservation and hunting groups nationwide, and has over 150 of her images in print.
